Bellard's Kobresia is an attractive grass-like tufted sedge that forms low, tufted mounds of grass-like evergreen foliage. It has smooth, yellowish-green or brownish green leaves. Its inconspicuous off-green flowers bloom in spring and are followed by brown seed-heads. Its attractive foliage creates an attractive contrast with other plants, making it suitable for edging paths or lining rock gardens. It is also useful as groundcover and for use in woodland gardens or as a companion to other shade-lovers. This airy plant prefers well-drained soil and tolerates partial shade.
