Black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullivantii 'Goldsturm') is a popular North American wildflower. It is a clumping perennial that produces mass displays of bright yellow, daisy-like flowers with prominent black cones from July to September. The petals and stamens are gold to orange in colour, while the centres of the blossom are a rich black-brown. The plants grow to be about 30-90 cm (1-3ft) tall and appear in dry, sunny meadows and fields. Deer resistant and easy to care for, this plant is a beautiful addition to any garden.
