Kolkwitzia amabilis "Pink Cloud" is a beautiful deciduous shrub with naturally arching branches. It is known as the Beautybush and distinguishes itself by its pink blooms that arrive in mid-spring and last for weeks. It grows quickly at a rate of 3 feet each year and can reach up to 7-8 feet in height and 5-7 feet in width. It prefers full sun, but will tolerate some shade and a variety of soil types. It is low maintenance and can easily be pruned and trained to create an architecturally pleasing garden structure. The foliage of this species is a dark green, which stands out beautifully against the bright pink blooms and is the cornerstone of many gardens and landscapes.
