Stonecrop (Sedum rupestre ‘Angelina’) is a low growing, evergreen perennial that spreads and creeps slowly with small bright yellow foliage that forms an attractive spreading mat of colour. It is drought tolerant and will flourish in well-draining soils as well as containers with excellent drainage. It has yellow flowers that bloom in the summer and amid of its foliage. Stonecrop is an excellent choice for rock gardens, rock walls, and borders. It is often used as an edging plant due to its low growth habit and is an attractive groundcover. Stonecrop is very tolerant of wind and salty conditions and can even be used as a ground cover on banks to provide erosion control on coastal sites.
